It is very commom for S10 owners to narrow the long side of the Ford Explorer 8.8 Housing and use two short side axles. This includes two axles at 27 1/2". These can be made shorter in needed. These axles have 3" of spline.

If you want the axles shorter, leave a comment in the Notes of the C Dimensions. Outside of axle face where the wheel bolts up to the tip of the splines. These are all made to order. No additional cost for narrowed bolt in style axles. Standard 2 day build time.
